Ahhh,
Interesting that I find myself blogging again. Chances are, anyone who's reading this now probably didn't catch my livejournal that I used to keep up back in the day. That's probably for the best. Trust me, you missed very little. I'd been holding off on this for awhile, knowing that my first entry would set the precedent and the tone for future blogs...but finally I decided, hey, if I want to change formats later, so be it. Blogspot doesn't dictate me! I dictate to blogspot! : )
Just got home from the Saloon on this fine March evening. Sang, danced, and had an incredibly fun night! I'll be honest, it took me back to simpler times. I talked to so many interesting people tonight. I met Kim, who got her undergrad at Cornell, and who was in Amsterdam last Spring, (I asked her dozens of questions!), I met Jackson who looks just like Turtle from Entourage, and was gleeful when I informed him that he and his boys reminded me of the show. I met and reminisced on middle school days with Adam, and then I met Tracy in line for the restroom who explaineed her boy drama to me, haha.... it was just a good night. Talking to so many people almost made me second-guess my career plans. I love meeting EVERYONE, learning new things and getting to know them. I know I ultimately want to be a professor, but is law school really the best route to get there? When's the last time you ever heard a lawyer described as “warm” or “trusting”? *sigh* Food for thought I suppose. I've had a very up/down day, but one thing is for sure, today was definitely “me”. I reacted and behaved exactly as to be expected. Through it all, this Saturday, March 28, 2009 fit me perfectly, in every way.
So, going along with being “me”, I'm going to break out something that very few of you have probably had the pleasure of experiencing, (unless you somehow got ahold of a State High newspaper, in which case, I'm overwhelmingly impressed!)
It's Cheers and Jeers time!
Cheers to Villanova winning! I know most of you are livid as a result, but hey, it put me at #1 in my pool, and I have faith in them to get to the championship game....and then hopefully losing to UConn, haha, fingers crossed!
Jeers to the smokiness that the Saloon had...why can't everywhere be smoke-free at this point??
Cheers to getting accepted into the Netherlands summer program! I'm excited beyond belief and description, and I KNOW it will be fantastic!
Jeers to a fight breaking out tonight... Emilee and I were in the midst, but luckily, all that happened was us dealing with the major alcohol spillage that was so generously poured on our shirts and in our hair....gross.
Cheers to having today off work! I heart my workplace and all, but a Saturday off was refreshing and appreciated.
...I'm out of jeers, so the other cheers will have to be put on hold. I like to keep a balance. : )
Well, I'm going to go read some book I suppose, (heehee), I'll have to catch my posts up on school, spring break, and life at a later time. : ) Goodnight, goodnight!
Sleep,
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams be realized...
